Located on Pond Street in downtown Stowe, Cork Market & The Candy Castle is a one-of-a-kind destination — part natural wine shop, part gourmet market, and home to Vermont's only Swedish candy store.
The shelves are stocked with a rotating selection of organic and biodynamic wines chosen for curiosity and discovery, alongside Vermont craft beer, artisanal pantry provisions, and locally sourced meats and cheeses from farms we know and trust. Whether you're building a board, stocking up for the week, or hunting for something you've never tasted before, there's always something worth finding.
And then there's the candy. The Candy Castle is Vermont's only dedicated Swedish candy store — a full pick-and-mix experience featuring imported Swedish sweets that have quietly become a Stowe destination in their own right. Equal parts nostalgic and unexpected, it's the kind of thing that brings people back again and again.
The market is the kind of place you stop in for one bottle and leave with a basket full.

Artisanal pantry staples, specialty oils, tinned fish, preserved goods, and curated ingredients — the kind of things that elevate a simple meal.
Every shelf tells a story — of craftsmanship, flavor, and the joy of gathering around great food. It’s everything you need to bring a little Cork charm home.
Local Wherever Possible
Vermont-sourced charcuterie, aged cheeses, and fresh cuts from farms we know and trust. Great for a board, a picnic, or just dinner at home.
Local and regional beers from Vermont's best breweries. We keep it seasonal and change it up regularly so there's always something new to try.
Yes! We have Vermont natural wine.
Swedish Candy
A full Swedish candy selection — the original pick-and-mix experience. A little unexpected, completely irresistible.
Most candy in the U.S. is packed with artificial dyes, additives, and ingredients we rather not feed our kids.
We only share candy that fits our ethos of natural wine and gourmet provisions.
One of Vermont's best natural wine selections
Wine shouldn’t feel intimidating. It doesn’t have to be expensive or pretentious to be good. There’s no right or wrong when it comes to taste; not all palates are the same. But there is a right or wrong when it comes to quality. Not all wine is created equal. That is why we hand select each bottle. We only share wines we’re genuinely excited to drink ourselves.
We prioritize independent growers and importers — families, friends and communities that take great pride in their stewardship over the land and their wine. Grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides — better for the land, better in the glass.
